Our Garden - April 2013
The garden is 3 to 4 weeks behind where it usually is in April because of the cold, long winter we had this year but everything is coming to life (the "views" were taken 28 April 2013).

forsythia

The Forsythia is just to the right of the photo on the left so it seemed appropriate to put its photo here!

fish

The fish were late getting up this year. Usually they're up and looking for food early March but it was mid April this year.

duck

These ducks (and another of their friends) visited us for a couple of days. No idea where they came from or where they went!

garden

frogspawn

Lots of frogspawn this year as well so we hope that we get a lot of frogs in the pond.

frog

There were at least 10 of them on the day I took this photo

tulips

The tulips under the big tree are starting to look wonderful unlike the tulips in the beds near the patio that really suffered from the cold winter.

frost

As you can see it was a bit frosty when I was out with my camera!

hostapots

We're trying wool pellets as a slugh deterrent this year. Finger's crossed.

greenhouse

The veg is starting to show through in the veg beds and there are plenty of plants coming along in the greenhouse.

Finally, a quick look at the front garden and now it's time to go and do some more work to get it ready for opening in 2 weeks time (12 May).
