Our Garden - January 2016 |
Another year, another set of photos. The weather's been very strange so far this year with very mild, wet weather changing to frost and snow then back to mild. The plants won't know whether to grow or not. |
The aconites were really early this year. Lovely, bright flowers and always welcome. |
Lots of lovely leaf colour around. |
The first geranium of the year - much earlier than usual. |
Another bush that's starting to flower early. |
A few nuts in waiting for the squirrels. |
The only daffodil in the garden and it's looking a bit bedraggled. |
The helebore is getting ready to flower but not quite there yet. |
Something old, something new. |
The veg on the right have got a bit battered as well. |
The view on the left is what I see from my shed. |
It's probably time to cut the grasses back. |
You can see how sunny it was when I was walking round with my camera. |
The cornus in the back is quite small now. The ones in the front garden are taking over and give lovely colour. |
I think the squirrels have been "helping" with the wallflowers as they aren't all where I planted them. |
This acid green cornus still has a few leaves clinging on. |
This is fiery-est of the all our cornuses. |
The eucalyptus is such a lovely colour, especially with the sun shining through it. |
To think, this red robin looked like it was on its last legs a few years ago. |
More shiny leaves. |
The pampas has been blown about but is surviving well. |
The choisya really shows off at this time of year. |
Seed pods are interesting to see. |
A quick look at the front garden before I finish. |
My shed is already being well used, That's it for this time. |
