Our Garden - May 2017
We'll start and end this month's photos with our furry friends. They are getting a bit more used to each other in that they don't run away, sneak up on one another etc.

acquilegia

These acquilegia are self seeded - all over the front garden but so pretty I don't like to dig them out.

allium

These alliums came from Janet and did nothing last year but are doing pretty well this year - lovely plants.

The bluebells have been lovely this year.

azalea

The azalea flowers year after year and seems to grow even more each year.

cistus

We lost the big cistus this winter so this one is the last survivor. Hope it lasts a while.

pyra

The pyracanthus is budding up nicely. Looks like we'll have lots of flowers and therefore lots of berries. Lucky birds!

ball

That'll be me in the photo!

The evening sunshine was lovely on the cotinus - it should be called a fire bush rather than a smoke bush!

calendula

We have a few self seeded calendula

white flower

These little flowers were part of our Jubilee red, white and blue. When we took them out of the pots, we planted them in the gravel bed where they seem to be doing just fine.

Lots of reds in the garden especially if we "borrow" next door's copper beech for the photos.

judas

Some years this tree is better than others. This year it's looking good.

Lots of lovely, lush foliage on the ramp back up to the greenhouse and patio area.

comfrey

Comfrey is medicinal and also makes for good fertiliser.

shed
greenhouse
The greenhouse is keeping our seedlings safe and sound and the tomatoes are in - 6 different varieties this year.

... and this is Oli who seems to have adopted us. He's a really handsome cat who enjoys human company and purrs very loudly!

That's it for this month.
