berries

There are lots and lots of berries around the garden so the birds should be happy this year.

ceanothus

For some unknown reason, the Ceanothus has decided to flower again. Must be because of the mild weather?

The Cosmos are lovely and far too good to take out just yet even though I'd like to plant some tulips where they are.

This must have self seeded (or been brought in by the birds or squirrels) because I didn't plant it here.

gladioli

This Gladiolus is from an earlier year and was a lovely surprise when it popped up and flowered.

The Heuchera have really delicate flowers.

The Hydrangeas are fading so it will soon be time to cut the flowers off so Linda can do pretty and artistic things with them. I've already put a few in the greenhouse to provide a winter nest for the ladybirds.

thistle

The Thistles are almost done - still lots of seeds for the birds to eat.

acer

The largest of our Acers has these lovely red keys in Autumn and then the leaves turn bright red but that hasn't happened this year yet.

grapes

There are lots of grapes this year. We don't eat them but the birds love them. We know when they're ready because the vine is full of blackbirds and starlings!

The end of this tour around. It's only when I walk round with a camera that I realise just how much there is in the garden.
