Our Garden - September 2015 |
Extra excitement this weekend as we have a new camera that seems to be pretty good for close ups. Most of the photos on the page are using my old camera but these two are with the new one. The old camera is definitely not redundant as it has a better zoom function so I'll now have even more excuse to wander around the garden as I'll have to do it twice - once with each camera! |
The Autumn Crocuses are flowering well. The always seems to be floppy rather than upright but still add a lovely bit of colour to the garden at this time of year. |
These little blue flowers are in the bed near the silver birch tree. |
The pigs will be moved into their winter quarters before too much longer. |
We still have a few roses in flower and the hydrangeas still have a bit of colour. |
Plenty of berries for the birds. |
Lots of fish and more than enough water hyacinths for them to hide under. |
The grass looks lovely with the sunshine on it. |
The sedums are looking lovely and if you look closely you can see the baby wallflowers that I planted recently. |
This is the only gladiolus that flowered this year. |
The grapes are ripening nicely. |
The Judas tree seems to be full of beans. |
I've planted pansies and cyclamen under the Robinia tree for this winter. |
The leeks are very tasty and the brassicas just planted. |
I've added a few new chrysanths to the front garden to give a bit of colour. |
That's it for this time. I'll add more photos next month. |
