Although some recent days have been autumnal, today was like a beautiful summer's day - warm, sunny and lovely.

These fragile Autumn crocuses add a lovely splash of colour but soon flop over.

Lots of yummy berries for the birds this autumn.

The hydrangeas have been "harvested" today so Linda can use them while they still have some colour.

I use the photo walk to work out what needs doing most of all the jobs that are crying out to be done. This path was one of them today so the pampas has been cut back and we can get along this path now.

A lot of colours are becoming "autumn-y" already.

The Potentilla are hanging on in there.

The Acer leaves are just starting to change colour but the keys are now a lovely pinky-red.

Who needs flowers when the foliage gives so much colour - but aren't these lovely!!

Only the white Cosmos seem to the thriving - the pink ones have died back a bit.

The Sedum, on the other hand, is now in full colour.

Lots of Fuchsia around the garden - both in pots and in the beds.

Strong sunshine means dramatic shadows.

The snowball bushes are doing really well this year. I guess this means there will be more of them next year as they self-seed everywhere!

Potatoes are dug up and in a sack in the shed, beans, peas and tomatoes are in the freezer, only leeks and sprouts left in the garden now.

The Cornus in the back garden is changing colour beautifully.
