We visited Hidcote Manor Garden with Sadie and Tim in early June 2016. It was a bright but cloudy day - perfect for photos - and we had a lovely time.

The gardens were beautiful with plenty of flowers for close up photography.

There were loads of alliums, both ornamental and edible - very pretty flowers.

There were also a lot of flowers that weren't alliums.

As you can see, there was a lot of pink and purple around the garden.

Some of the flowers were tiny, some huge; some "tidy", some blowsy; a really good mix of plants.

Some of the garden was very formal, other parts less so.

There were other colours as well - some lovely blues ...

The layout was in rooms and great to explore

The yellows, oranges and golds were not to be outdone.

The tree paeonies were amazing.

Some of the trees had really interesting bark - this one was in the wilderness area

Jonathon was in his element, making full use of his macro lens.

No idea what type of flying creature this is but it's very pretty

The whites also had plenty to show for themselves

Foliage didn't want to miss out on the colour parade

This is a close up of water droplets on a leaf - no idea how close Jonathon was to the leaf but guessing it was pretty close!

Hidcote Manor Garden was a wonderful place to visit - highly recommended.
