We enjoyed various visits to water and the birdlife there. One of the highlights was seeing this tiny Three-banded Plover chick. |

We went to Lake Manyara National Park to see flamingo, pelicans and hippos. There was an abundance of flamingo and pelicans on our first morning (we only saw hippos close enough to photograph on the afternoon of our last day there). |

Greater and Lesser Flamingo We were hoping to see the whole flock take off but the birds thought otherwise. Amazing wing colour when they are flying. |
